He studied film and theatre in Berlin, and worked for The Discovery Channel and Channel 4 in London.His TV commercial work for some of the world’s most iconic brands has won countless awards, including Cannes Lions, and a Gold and a Black Pencil at the D&AD Advertising Awards.
Jörn’s film work has been equally successful. His short film “Over” won Best Film at over 12 international film festivals. It was nominated for a European Academy Award and Critics Circle Award and screened at the Telluride and Sundance Film Festivalsin 2016.His recent short, The Family of Things (2021) received an Honourable Mention at the Black Maria Film Festival, and will begin a US tour early this year.
Jörn was selected as one of the BFI/Screen International’s “Stars of Tomorrow 2015” and was nominated for a BAFTA in 2016.
